CIBEL is set to host the 2023 CIBEL Global Network Conference and Young Scholars Workshop virtually from 21 to 23 November 2023. The conference aims to promote academic and policy debate over the major opportunities for and challenges faced by governments in reshaping their economic systems, and global economic governance collectively, focusing on the Asia-Pacific.
The conference will include four panels that will discuss emerging economic instruments and agreements, de-coupling to de-risking, industrial policy for a green transition, and regulatory challenges and cooperative opportunities in the digital transformation.
The conference will feature a keynote address by John W.H. Denton AO, Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Mr Denton is a global business leader and international advisor on policy and a legal expert on international trade and investment. He is a Board member of the UN Global Compact and was appointed Chair of the United Nations Business and Human Security Initiative advisory board in February 2023.
The 2023 CIBEL Global Network Conference presents an excellent opportunity for scholars, practitioners, regulators, and the public in the Asia Pacific and worldwide to connect and engage on international business and economic law matters.
