On the 22 March, CIBEL facilitated the launch of Associate Professor Weihuan Zhou and Professor Henry Gao’s book Between Market Economy and State Capitalism: China's State-Owned Enterprises and the World Trading System. The book's authors and a panel of guest speakers discussed this important publication and the questions from audience members.
The session's speakers included Mr James Baxter from the Office of Global Trade Negotiations, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT Australia), Professor Vivienne Bath of The University of Sydney Law School, and Professor James Laurenceson, Director of the Australia-China Relations Institute (ACRI), University of Technology Sydney. The session was chaired by Professor Deborah Healey.
